To establish a common understanding between us, please have a look at some common practices below. We, the community at Infinity Education, welcome you to engage in our values of mutual respect, kindness and reciprocity.

Communication Practices

When I am on leave or off work, I may not see or respond to your texts until the next working day but please feel free to text me your questions first. I thank you for respecting my personal time and likewise, you may respond to me in your own time too.

Scheduling Practices

Premium Retainer Plan

Around December-January each year, I will discuss with you to come up with a suitable weekly timeslot. In setting a regular schedule, we are both agreeing to reserve this timeslot for your child's lesson with me. Thus, I humbly request that you set and maintain boundaries with other tutors/enrichment teachers should they repeatedly encroach on your child's protected time with me.

Planned Leave & School Holidays: The Premium Retainer Plan reserves your exclusive tutoring slot for the entire academic year. For planned leave of one week or more (e.g., school holidays), clients must provide a minimum of 30 days' written notice. With such notice, a Slot Holding Fee of 50% of the regular lesson fee will be charged for each missed lesson to keep the slot reserved. Without 30 days' notice, the standard cancellation policy applies. Alternatively, clients may opt to release their slot, in which case its availability upon their return is not guaranteed. 

Cancellation policy: If you cancel, the 50% session fee is waived. The retainer portion for that slot is forfeited.

In the event that the tutor must cancel a scheduled lesson, the client will not be charged. Any pre-paid retainer fee corresponding to that lesson will be applied as a credit to the following month's invoice. Every effort will be made to schedule a make-up session at a mutually convenient time.

Planning ahead
At the start of each year, I will ask for a backup timeslot in the event of a public holiday or unforeseen circumstances (e.g. illness). As such, please ensure that you are able to set this time aside without affecting the schedule of any tutors or lessons your child may have.

Flexi-rate Plan

Slots will be released around 2-4 weeks in advance, via a specific booking link. For last minute bookings, please Whatsapp me directly.
Cancellations within 48 hours are charged the full session fee. Clients who provide a minimum 48 hours written notice will not be charged.

Variables factored into pricing

Pricing Plan

• The premium retainer plan separates the fee into two parts—one to reserve my time and another for services rendered. This approach guarantees your child's prime tutoring slots while providing me with the financial stability needed to continue offering my services. Additional overtime fees will be charged at the same rate.

• The flexi-rate plan costs 20% more than the premium retainer plan. This higher rate reflects the tutor's risk in bearing the opportunity costs of cancelled lessons.

Educational level upon acceptance

• • My teaching approach focuses on nurturing a learning mindset and building strong conceptual understanding. Students who start early with me develop good habits of mind, critical thinking skills and reasoning abilities that enhance their learning capacity over time. As a token of appreciation for parents who seek help early, the hourly rate will remain constant for at least 3 years thereafter.

    • I encourage all learners to view our sessions as stepping stones toward developing lifelong learning habits. The goal is to progress from regular sessions to occasional consultations, and ultimately, complete independence.

    • Students who join later will need to balance catching up on foundational concepts while keeping pace with more advanced material.

  • Thus, the closer it is to a formal national assessment (e.g.  'N' level, 'O' level), the higher the starting price will be.

    • While I accept students up to 2 months before O-Level examinations, I strongly advise parents to begin preparation at least 2 years before any national assessment. This longer timeline provides students with adequate time and space for meaningful learning.

Location 

• • Should you require me to travel to your home, additional charges will be added to the hourly rate, at a minimum of 2 hours per session. Alternatively, lessons can be conducted at High Street Centre where there are private meeting rooms available.
